Well, Jeff and I are finally done spending gobs of money in the lovely town of Ilwaco (you’re welcome Ilwaco [Englund Marine in particular]) and plan to drop Serenity in the water early tomorrow morning (knocking on wood now) and head out over the bar at high tide. Our first stop down the coast will be Newport, OR where we will likely have to hole up for a couple of days while the coast gets some bad weather out of its system. I think we’re ready. I feel ready. Our keel is solid, our bow can certainly take a beating now, we’ve “battened our hatches” so to speak (no more waves soaking Jeff’s computer) and we’ve both got our rally caps on. I’ve been too tired after working long days (and nights) to write down anything that anyone might want to read, but I’m hoping to recap our time in Ilwaco once we get an ounce of downtime (hopeful much?) Ilwaco has been kind to us and we’re sad to leave the community of friends we’ve gathered while up on the hard. Thanks for following along, wish us well on the high seas. Phew.

We are Jeff and Harmony, a couple of Pacific Northwestern homebodies (hogareños) who decided to take our home, a 30 foot Nightingale sailboat named Serenity, and our fat lovable cat, on an adventure. We cruised around Mexico, Central America and the Pacific Ocean for about 3 years until the Pacific Northwest beckoned us back home.
